Lauren Sheridan
Lauren joined our team in late 2022 bringing with her a real love for food. Or as she beautifully puts it – food is love. Holidays, special occasions and memories are often recalled by the food that was shared. We couldn’t agree more!
Born and bred in Scotland, Lauren studied social science, trained to become a chef then honed in on food technology, graduating from Abertay University with a degree in Food & Consumer Science.
Working with Kerry Foods in the U.K she’s experienced the thrill of seeing new foods on supermarket shelves knowing she’s played a big part in their development. Time spent with London-based consumer magazines saw her author a cookery feature for Women’s Weekly.
Now calling New Zealand home, Lauren moved into marketing and corporate affairs for NZ King Salmon, developing the Ora King awards into the successful and respected global competition it is today. She is as comfortable managing the kitchens of an aged care facility as she is hosting international chefs on boutique foodie tours.
Favourite food destination: the West Coast of Scotland & Ireland (for the freshest seafood, and the nostalgia of home)
